Service Description
Story structure editing is the step before reviewing transitions, grammar, and line-by-line edits. It is an in-depth assessment focused on plot, pacing, scene purpose, character development, conflict, and narrative progression, with actionable feedback to guide you through the process of turning your first draft into one that's ready to be polished. Includes an initial consultation, story structure edit (approximately 1-2 months), and a follow-up meeting. A $500 non-refundable deposit is required to begin. The remaining balance must be paid in full before the completed edit is returned.
Cancellation Policy
By booking a session with Plot the Story Plot, you agree to the terms below. All sessions are booked and paid in advance through the online booking system. Your spot is confirmed once payment is received. You may cancel or reschedule up to 24 hours before your appointment for a full refund or credit. Cancellations made within 24 hours may not be refunded. Missed sessions are considered completed and are non-refundable. If we need to reschedule due to unforeseen circumstances, you’ll be notified promptly and offered a new time or full refund. Scheduling operates on a first-come, first-served basis. Sessions start and end on time. If you arrive late, the session will still finish at the originally scheduled time. Payments are processed securely through Wix, PayPal, or Stripe in Canadian Dollars (CAD). Refunds are issued via the original payment method within 5–10 business days when eligible. All sessions and materials are confidential. Your creative work remains entirely your property. Sessions are intended for writers aged 18+. Writers aged 13–17 are welcome with the consent of a parent or legal guardian. A parent or legal guardian must be present at the beginning of the session to provide consent, review the session expectations, and ask any questions.
